Role at the Foundation

Software Engineering. I assist the Foundation's scientists in their research by producing a variety of software applications; these range from ad hoc parsing scripts to bioinformatics programs used for data mining and analysis. Additionally, I develop, maintain, and enhance a number of in-house web applications that improve organizational efficiency and cohesiveness.

System Administration. I am responsible for all the Foundation's servers: mail, web, file, database, and so on. I also set up, maintain, and run jobs on our compute clusters.

IT support. This includes tasks such as setting up workstations, installing software and peripherals, and assisting Foundation employees with computer-related issues.
